OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, April 11, 2018 – Republican gubernatorial candidate Todd Lamb officially filed to be Oklahoma’s 28th governor this morning, saying the occurrence is an ‘honor and an extremely serious undertaking’. Prior to filing, Lamb attended a campaign filing celebration where Oklahoma native and retired United States General Tommy Franks officially offered his endorsement.
“It is a tremendous honor to officially file as a candidate for governor, and it is an extremely serious undertaking,” Lamb said. “I am excited to continue to take my RENEW Oklahoma campaign to the citizens of this great state across all 77 counties. With the primary quickly approaching I continue to be humbled by the incredible outpouring of support from Oklahomans representing all walks of life. To that end, I am very honored by General Franks’ support and deeply appreciate his attendance at my filing celebration event this morning. He is a true Oklahoma treasure and a man I deeply respect.”
General Franks commented, “Military personnel do not often engage in partisan elections, however Todd Lamb is a different type of leader and someone I have complete confidence will lead Oklahoma with a purpose and a plan. I know a thing or two about leadership and the necessity of detailed planning. As we collectively embark on our mission to make Oklahoma more prosperous and a national leader across many important spectrums, it is vital we elect a governor who is a proven conservative, and who has a detailed vision of what Oklahoma should look like in the future. Todd Lamb is that leader – with a detailed plan – and I am excited to support his candidacy.”
